"He" needs a name

First, I want to thank each of you for your wonderful support during this sad, sad time. You have been a great support team...(unlike Hubs who thinks I've fallen of my rocker..."Anyone who would write an obit for a crockpot!")...I really don't think he came with a funny bone...

Anyway, so here's what happened...
  1. Hazel chokes on a roast on Friday
  2. I have to cook dinner all on my own on Saturday
  3. Hubs sends me for new crockpot on Sunday

So I have a new crockpot...We've all ready discussed the fact that no one could take the place of Hazel and "He" understands that...Yes, I said "He"...I just couldn't bring myself to look for a female crockpot...I think I would have mistreated her...so I played it safe and got a male crockpot...

"He" also understands that as a tribute to Hazel, I will still be having Hazel's Crockpot Thursdays (Hazel must have known her time was coming, because she gave me all these wonderful recipes that we put on auto post for the rest of March)...and I will continue with them from that point on with the help from "He"...

Now for a contest...(Hazel's name came to me from the moment I saw her walk across the shelf at Walmart Small Appliance College...but I need a name for "He"...after all I can't keeping calling him "He"...that would be like calling your dog "Dog"...It just ain't right...Things are suppose to have a name...So why not have a contest and you guys can pick out a name for "He"...all entries for "He" need to be posted in the comment section of this post by Sunday, March 15, 2009...

I will pick a winner on Monday, March 16, 2009 and the winner will win a crockpot cookbook...

I don't think you should guess a name without seeing what you are naming, so here is a picture of "He"...

Notice the way "He" holds his towel...so crocky...and how sleek and shiny...with that fresh out of small appliance college look...blah...blah...blah... :)

Good luck and thanks...Hugs...

He looks pretty slick... How about Willie? ; )

yes, you can put as many names as you want in...

I also forgot to tell you guys (I don't know if it matters or not) but "He" is a Hamilton Beach crock...

I love both of these suggestions all ready! Thanks for playing along!

He's so crocky made me giggle!
Full Name: George Hamilton Beach
Just call him George and make sure he gets oiled once in a while..;)

Another suggestion is
Matthew McCrockpaughty (and make sure the crockpot is shirtless)

Last entry: Crock Hudson

I am back, new profile pic, but the same ole me.
Ok, been thinking. When I look at him, I see Pierce Brosnan in Remington Steele...or Thomas Crown...or James Bond.
I will keep thinking. By the way...who on earth would ever think they would see Pierce Brosnan in a crockpot...I think I'm a little cracked...ROFL

Kelly...never thought of George Hamilton Beach...I might end up with a bunch of crockpots fighting over him...grin...

Tonya...welcome to my world...after all...who else would name their crock and give an obit for her! grin...

I say Henry replaces Hazel - so similar and yet so ooh-lah-lah different!

And we'll just have to wait and see if it's true that all the great chefs are men - or crockpots.

I honestly think his name is Herbert J Crockpot. He just looks like a Herbert J Crockpot to me.
(By the way, my condolences about Hazel. At least now I know who Hazel was. As a latecomer to your blog, I could never quite work it out!)

I've come back to this picture sevearl times and every time I can only think of one name. Jeeves. I don't know if it's his immaculate tuxedo, or the way he holds the towel, but I totally see Jeeves. :0)

Well, Brenda, he must be very brave to take on the challenge of replacing Hazel, so I think he must be Davy, as in Davy Crockpot!

I knew you guys would be able to help "He" get a name, but it is going to be tough choosing which one! I love them all! And the ways you guys are coming up with them...Love it!

By the time the contest is over, I might just like "He"...grin...

Potrick.

Or maybe The Fonz. Because he's all cool and snazzy in his black... um... outfit?

OMGosh -- you've gotten some GREAT names here. I love George Hamilton Beach, with George for short. Everyone should have a George in their life.

I'm coming up blank here, which is insane because I'm just as much of a CP fanatic as you are. He's looking so spiffy, especially with his towel on his hip. Mr. Simmers?

Nah, I really like GEORGE. He looks like a George ...

Humphrey. Humphrey Bergamot?

I tried to find a cooking term that sounds like Bogart, but this was as close as I can get. I still like Humphrey.

I dunno if I can think of anything better than George Hamilton Beach.

I don't know why, but when I saw the picture, I thought "Herman."

Sorry about Hazel!
